I started my low amylose diet again today. The only thing I am adding in this time is working out and my metformin.
My prescription is for 500 mg twice a day, but I am going to start out doing 250 once a day the first week. Next week I'll change it to 250 twice a day. The week after I'll up one dose to 500 and the other stays 250. Hopefully this will make a smooth transition into 500 mg twice a day the last week.
I worked out at the gym today. I only did 40 minutes, twenty on the elliptical and twenty on the treadmill. Guess what I also worked out with? A CD PLAYER! Ha. I have an iphone, but I only have like one song on it and I don't know how to download cds to iphones and such, so I busted out a cd player we have. Such. A. Dork. I'm sure I look like a hot mess with the CD player in one hand and the iphone in the other. Hahaha.
I'll keep you all updated on my progress.

Ok, so this is how you put songs from cds on to your iphone. You put the cd in the computer and you open up itunes. Select the cd from the left side menu, and then click on it. Very bottom corner should say import cd when the songs come up. Click on that and it will add the songs to your itunes. Then you can make playlists and put the songs you want in the playlists. Then, you plug your phone up, and click it in the menu. Across the top of the big chunk of screen in Itunes, it will say like summary, music, apps, etc. click music, and then scroll down and check which playlists you want on the iphone. Then hit sync. That's it :) Email me if you need help- reilert79@gmail.com. Also, apple.com has lots of help manuals for when you don't know how to do it :)
I'm thinking about getting back on Metformin. I had such a negative experience with it, but I was told that I was taking it at the wrong time or with the wrong food. What has your experience been while on Metformin?
Those ellipticals are killer! I could barely do 5 mins tonight! I can only imagine what 20 would be like!
