He's Back Home!

NYEBoy's flight from here to ATL was delayed by one hour, which caused him to miss his connecting flight, which caused him to spend over night in the ATL before catching his CA flight the next morning. Oh, and they lost his bag.

Then, he catches the redeye to get back to me, and while paying for his checked bag, his debit card was declined. He uses the only cash he has on him to pay for his bag, and calls the bank. It turns out, they canceled it because we live in FL and he's been racking up charges in CA for a few days. Oh, and they can't turn it back on until they open up about 10? hours later. He was not a happy camper considering he had decided to eat dinner at the airport since she was so busy all day at work, and now he was flying with nothing to eat or drink until he arrived back to FL.

I pull up to the airport this morning, and he calls. Oh yay! Perfect timing, I thought. I was wrong. He was stuck in GA. Apparently the fog made it too dangerous to land in Tally. Oy vey. $8 in airport charges later, he finally landed and we headed to get breakfast.

I had been up all night and he had too, so we slammed back our breakfast, a gallon of tea, and came home for a nap.

I woke up at 4 to head to the homeless shelter to help serve dinner. I love doing that so much and so glad I was able to get our young aduIt group assigned on a regular basis.

After I got back home, I woke NYEBoy up and we headed to dinner and a movie. We saw 21 Jump Street. It was HYSTERICAL. Seriously, GO see it, NOW! I'm pretty sure there is going to be a second one.

So glad to have my honey back home. I miss him so much when he's gone.

Oh, and he's seriously the best guy ever. He's heard me for years talk about how I wanted to go to Trader Joes, and while he was in CA, he picked me up some caramel cashew cookies. He thought I would be jealous that he went, but I was more happy that he brought me home a surprise. Haha!
